About

The trusted layer between programs and families

Sunup exists so the people who run children's activities can spend their time on children's activities.

What we're building

Every week, millions of kids show up to dance studios, swim lessons, camps, and after-school programs run by small businesses. Behind almost every one is an owner juggling spreadsheets, form tools, payment links, and paper waivers — professional programs run on unprofessional plumbing.

Sunup is one coherent system for that work: publish your classes, take registrations and payments, keep rosters and attendance right, and give families a portal they trust. Not a marketplace that owns your customers. Not an enterprise suite you need training for. The operational layer between you and your families.

Serious about children's data

This software handles information about children — health notes, emergency contacts, who may pick a child up. We treat that as the design constraint it is, not a compliance checkbox.

We collect only what's needed, and show it only to the people who need it
Access to sensitive records is logged: who looked, at what, and when
Signed waivers, payments, and attendance are preserved as history — never silently rewritten
Card details never touch our servers; payments run through Stripe's secure checkout
Family data is never sold, and never used for advertising

Why now

The tools in this space make two moves we don't like: they push fees onto parents at checkout, and they hold everyday features — waitlists, custom forms — hostage on higher tiers. Both trade the provider's trust with families for the platform's margin.

We're taking the other path: every feature in every plan, honest pricing that's roughly half what the incumbents charge, and no fees on families, ever. We're starting with a small group of providers and building alongside them — the boring, important things first.

If that sounds like software you'd want to run your program on, we'd love to have you early.
